Dr Abdul Malik Baloch resigns as CM Balochistan

QUETTA (Staff Report) – Abdul Malik Baloch has resigned from the office of Balochistan Chief Minister, leaving the charge for Nawab Sanaullah Zehri under the Murree agreement.

Dr Baloch tendered his resignation to Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai on Wednesday.

Murree agreement is a power sharing formula that reached between PML-N and NP under which Baloch and Zehri had to share the office of chief ministry equally during the five year tenure.

As chief minister, Baloch said, he did everything he could do for betterment in the province.

He said that the National Party would continue to support the government with Sanaullah Zehri in the Chief Minister office.
