Security forces raid Jaish-e-Mohammad seminary in Sialkot, held several suspicious people

SIALKOT (Web Desk) – Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab on Thursday raided on a seminary allegedly being run by banned outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).

According to sources, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab, police commandos and security officials carried out the operation on reports of suspicious people’s presence at the madrassah and arrested several suspicious people. Forces recovered

A number of national identity cards and controversial books and literature were also taken into custody by the security officials, while the seminary has been sealed for further investigation.

The latest raid came after “several” JeM activists were arrested following leads provided by India over the alleged involvement of the outfit in the Pathankot air base attack.

Pakistan has promised India of tough action against anyone found guilty of involvement in the Pathankot attack.
