ICC delegation to visit Pakistan next week to review preparations for Champions Trophy

DUBAI – A five to six-member delegation from the ICC will visit Pakistan next week to review preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy.

According to the media reports, the delegation will inspect the proposed venues for the tournament. They will meet with PCB officials to discuss key issues such as practice matches, ticketing, and other logistics.

The delegation will include heads and representatives from various departments.

The schedule for the delegation’s visit and activities will be finalised within two to three days. Prior to this, ICC’s pitch consultants, security heads, and event staff have already made three visits.

Upgrading the stadiums in Lahore and Karachi is a major challenge for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has set a deadline of December 31 for the completion of construction work at both stadiums.

No major work is required at the Rawalpindi Stadium that could cause issues. Convincing ICC officials of the timely completion of Lahore and Karachi stadiums remains a significant task for the PCB.
