DUBAI – Pakistani nationals planning to visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as tourists must secure a visit visa to enter the country. Tourists can either apply directly or have a sponsor or host in the UAE obtain the visa on their behalf by paying the required fees and submitting a guarantee deposit.
The UAE offers single-entry visit visas for either 30 or 60 days for tourism purposes. Sponsors or hosts, typically establishments within the tourism industry, can apply for the visa by paying the necessary fees and financial security deposit.
UAE Visit Visa Requirements
One personal photograph
Copy of the passport
Identity card from the country of origin (applicable to citizens of Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan)
Valid medical insurance for the duration of the stay in the UAE
A travel ticket for onward travel or departure from the UAE
Application Process
Tourists can apply through digital channels, such as the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) website or its smart application:
Log in to the smart services system using UAE Pass or a username.
Search for the required service.
Complete the application with the relevant information.
60-Day Visit Visa Fee
As of September 2024, the fee for a 60-day UAE visit visa is AED 300, with an additional 5% value-added tax (VAT). Other charges apply if the applicant is already inside the UAE, including:
Knowledge Dirham: AED 10
Innovation Dirham: AED 10
Fee for processing inside the UAE: AED 500
