Coas Munir Vows To Foster Defence Ties With Russia

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to fostering traditional defence ties with Russia, said ISPR.

He was talking to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, who paid a courtesy call on him at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

According to the military’s media wing, both the sides reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen security and defence cooperation in multiple domains.

During the meeting, they engaged in productive discussions on matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

The visiting dignitary praised pivotal role played by Pakistan Armed Forces’ in combating terrorism, and their tireless efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
