ISLAMABAD (News Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s special advisor on national security Lt-General (retd.) Nasir Khan Janjua has informed Indian National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval that around ten terrorists have infiltrated into India to carry out an attack.

“Janjua has told Doval that ten militants associated with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) -the groups blamed for Pathankot and Mumbai attacks respectively- near Gujrat state,” the Times of India reported on Sunday.

The report said that suspected terrorists can carry out attack on the account of Shivaratri event which falls on Monday this.

Following the communication between Pakistani and Indian National Security Advisors (NSAs), India’s central government has issued threat alerts to Gujrat government. Extraordinary security arrangements have been made at public places, military installations and places of worship to counter any possible terrorist attack.

Earlier on January 2 this year, around six terrorists attacked Indian Air Force (IAF) owned Pathankot airbase. Immediately after the attack, India said the attackers had come from Pakistan and were associated with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) group.

Both countries exchanged intelligence information for investigation into the terrorist attack. Pakistan also registered an FIA under clauses of anti-terrorism act and currently a special investigation team is probing the matter. The team is expected to visit India as well in mid March.
