James Vince’s sensational ton and Khushdil Shah’s fiery 60 propelled Karachi Kings to a clinical four victory over Multan Sultans in the third match of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Rizwan led Multan Sultans set mammoth target of 235 runs, Karachi Kings chased down the total with four balls to spare, finishing at 236-6. Despite a shaky start where they lost four wickets for just 79 runs, Vince’s blistering century guided the Kings to victory.

Early dismissals included David Warner (12), Shan Masood (0), and Arafat Minhas (10). Irfan Khan (5) and Abbas Afridi (9) remained unbeaten.

Vince dominated the chase, smashing 14 boundaries and four sixes, while Khushdil Shah’s blistering 60 included five boundaries and four sixes. For Multan, Akif Javed was the pick of the bowlers, claiming three wickets for 41 runs. Michael Bracewell (1-44) and Usama Mir (1-30) also took a wicket each.

Multan Sultans posted a massive total of 234-3 in their 20 overs, with Mohammad Rizwan leading the charge. Rizwan’s brilliant 105 not out off 63 balls, which included nine boundaries and five sixes, anchored the Sultans’ innings.

The opening partnership between Rizwan and Shai Hope (8) laid a solid foundation, with the team reaching 55 runs in the first five overs. Rizwan then formed a brief partnership with Usman Khan (19), before Kamran Ghulam’s quickfire 36 off 19 balls propelled the Sultans further.

Rizwan found a strong ally in Michael Bracewell, with the duo putting together an explosive 89-run partnership off just 32 balls, allowing the Sultans to reach an imposing total. Bracewell finished unbeaten on 44 from 17 balls, including five boundaries and three sixes. Karachi’s Hasan Ali, Abbas Afridi, and Khushdil Shah each claimed a wicket in the high-scoring encounter.

The thrilling win sees Karachi Kings take a significant step forward in the ongoing PSL season, with Vince and Khushdil’s contributions taking center stage in a memorable run-chase.
