KARACHI – Shah Latif Town police in Karachi have arrested a man accused of allegedly raping a woman after deceiving her with a fake marriage promise.
According to police, the accused allegedly entered into a marriage with the woman over the phone in September 2025 and later subjected her to sexual assault on three occasions on the pretext of marrying her.
The woman told police that the accused visited her home in March 2026 and stayed there for several hours. She later discovered that he was already married and had children.
Police have registered a case at the Shah Latif Town police station, while further investigation against the arrested suspect is underway.
