RAWALPINDI – Unknown assailants shot dead a bride on Chakri road on Sunday.
Police sources said, the girl was targeted by motorcyclists when she was returning from a beauty parlor.
A brother of the victim accused one of his cousins of killing his sister. He told media persons that a paternal cousin had warned the family against marrying the girl off.
However, police could not ascertained the motive behind the murder.
Police sources said the firing incident occurred over a family dispute. One of the bride’s sisters also lost her life due to a family enmity five years ago.
