PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday said that he did not visit those injured in rainstorm upon doctors’ request as it was an emergency situation and my visit would have disturbed the activities.
PTI chairman, while talking to media persons after visiting Lady Reading Hospitals in Peshawar, said that he was continuously in touch with Chief Minister Pervez Khatak and other officials following the disastrous rains. Our ministers focus on their work instead of spending time in photo shoots and publicity stunts, he declared.
Khan, on the occasion, announced the Lady Reading Hospital of Peshawar will get improved infrastructure in coming three months. He went on to say that a new team of doctors and an independent board of governors has been appointed at the hospital.
Earlier Imran Khan and his wife Reham Khan both visited those admitted in the hospital after heavy rainstorm had hit Peshawar on Sunday.
As many as 45 people had died in the tragedy.
