Petrol, diesel prices up by Rs2.00 per/litre for October

LAHORE -The federal government on Saturday increased the price of petrol and diesel by Rs2 per litre following fluctuation in prices in the international market effective from October 1, 2017.

The prices of Petrol, High Speed Diesel and Light Diesel soared by Rs2 per litter as the reshuffle or prices will be implemented from tonight. The Kerosene oil price has been jumped by Rs4 per liter, said a press release issued by the OGRA.

Petrol will now be sold at Rs73.5 per litre. Prices for high-speed diesel (HSD) and light-speed diesel (LSD) were also increased by Rs2.

After the revision, HSD will be sold at Rs79.4 per litre and LSD will be sold at Rs46 per litre. The ministry also increased the price of kerosene oil by Rs4 per litre. The new price is now Rs48 per litre.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday sent a summary to the petroleum ministry recommending an increase in prices of petrol by Rs2.36 per litre and diesel by Rs2.20.
