GILGIT – Prince Aly Muhammad, the youngest son of Agha Khan, the hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims, visited Hunza, on Thursday. He arrived in Gilgit-Baltistan on Tuesday morning.
During his stay in the Gilgit-Baltistan region, Aly Muhammad, is expected to visit various projects under Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in the Ghizer and Hunza districts. He will also visit a health center and a school operated by Aga Khan Foundation.
According to an official release, the purpose of the young prince’s visit is to enhance “understanding of issues related to the built environment, natural hazard mitigation, health, education, culture, and rural development—all areas in which the AKDN, with its partners are actively engaged to improve the quality of life.”
