Former AJK PM Barrister Sultan joins PTI

ISLAMABAD – Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) former prime minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, Barrister Sultan Mehmood has joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan expressing rejoice over sultan Mehmud decision, saying he welcomes the senior leader in the party ranks. Speaking at a conference organised to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day, he said that there were no corruption allegations on Barrister Sultan, adding that he had made a great decision for the masses in AJK.

Commenting on alleged rigging in the 2013 general election, the PTI chief said that the truth behind the poll rigging would be unveiled by the end of this month. He blamed Sindh and Punjab governments for the delay in holding local government polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Imran vowed to devolve power to the rural masses of the province.

Imran reiterated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari were the two sides of the same coin. He said that only the ruling elite had become billionaires while the rest of Pakistan was living below the poverty line. Two killed in firing at jirga in Peshawar.
