ATTOCK – A Peshawar-bound train on Thursday escaped a major accident, as the engine of Khushal Khan Khattak Express with over 300 passengers slipped off the track near Attock City Railway Station.
According to railways authorities, the driver of the train safely stopped the train after the engine derailed, preventing a disaster.
The incident also caused delay and disruption on the track.
On April 17, as many as 25 people, including children and women, were injured after Quetta-bound Jaffar Express derailed in Gujranwala. In the incident, five bogies of the train were overturned.
