Pakistan cricket team’s day out in New Zealand

NELSON – Pakistan cricket team, ahead of the ODI series against New Zealand, are making most of the free time. Skipper Sarfaraz led his squad to visit New Zealand Monument on Saturday.

Team Pakistan will play a warm-up match against New Zealand XI on Wednesday (Jan 3). Both teams will be playing five ODIs and three T201, starting from January 6 to January 28, however, exploring the country is also an essential part of any visit too.

Earlier, Sarfraz Ahmed stated that his side was “up for the challenges” in New Zealand. “Apart from opener Fakhar Zaman, all other players have played in New Zealand before so they know about the tough conditions and about the New Zealand team. So we are ready for the challenges,” Sarfraz said.

Sarfraz Ahmed, Azhar Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Imam ul Haq, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Hafeez, Haris Sohail, Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Amir, Hasan Ali, Rumman Raees and Amir Yamin.

The T20I squad will be announced later.
