KASUR – Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif early Thursday visited the family of innocent Zainab, who was brutally killed after rape, and assured them of swift and exemplary justice.
The chief minister reached Zainab’s house at 5am along with Punjab government spokesperson Malik Ahmed Khan and DPO Kasur to condole with the family. He offered ‘Fateha’ for the seven-year-old girl.
During the visit, Shehbaz Sharif vowed to bring the culprits to the justice, adding that he was himself monitoring the case.

Zainab went missing five days prior to her body being found in a heap of garbage. As per details, the girl was abducted near her home when she was on her way to Holy Quran class. An FIR was registered on January 4 by the victim’s uncle Muhammad Adnan as the girl’s parents were out of the country when she went missing. The FIR was registered at Sadar police station in Kasur. Her body was found on Tuesday night.
The incident shook the country and sparked violent protests in Kasur, demanding justice for the deceased.
