ISLAMABAD/KARACHI (APP) – The prevailing wave of severe heat slightly died down in Karachi on Sunday when drizzling was recorded in many areas of the metropolis.
According to the Met Office, parts of Karachi received drizzling on Sunday morning, with more likely today evening and tomorrow morning.
The Met Office says that temperature is likely to remain 40 degree centigrade in the city today.
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast widespread rain-thundershower with dust storm in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir during next 24 hours.
It said rain is expected in isolated places in Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Mardan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Mirpurkhas divisions, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours.
According to synoptic situation seasonal low is lying over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas and light to moderate moist currents are reaching in upper parts of the country.
Punjab
Punjab including Islamabad, hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the province. Rain-thundershower with dust storm is expected at scattered places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions while at isolated places of Sargodha division.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Similarly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) very hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province. Rain-thundershower with dust storm is expected at scattered places in Hazara division while at isolated places in Malakand division.
Sindh
A dust storm was recorded in Shikarpur city and adjoining areas on Sunday morning.
Very hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the Sindh. However, rain-thundershower with dust-storm is expected at isolated places in Mirpurkhas division.
Balochistan
In Balochistan very hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province during next 24 hours.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan
Whereas in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places and their adjoining areas.
