Pakistan missing out on the biggest cultural event in Sharjah

Sharjah: Recently 10th children’s reading festival (SCRF) took place in Sharjah where books from around the globe places like Lebanon, Egypt, Kuwait,Syria and Iran were placed for the book lovers to enjoy. Huge number of people attended this cultural event to explore more about what the other countries had to offer but there was disappointment from Pakistan as upon investigating readers got to know that the stall was abandoned.

This is not the first time Pakistan was seen missing in such literary event back in December, Dubai Literary festival took place which is the 3rd largest reading festival in the world and unfortunately Pakistan was missing from there even.

However a bit of hope was seen as Pakistani authors had made an effort to through their messages on different stalls. Such places are an opportunity for children and even adults to know more about the culture and opinions of different countries. We have been focusing on the television and films so much that we might be leaving behind the basics such as the literary world.
