IHC grants protective bail to Mansha Bomb s son

ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court granted protective bail to Mansha Bomb’s son, Tariq Mansha, who was wanted to the Lahore police in cases related to the illegal possession of land.

According to the directives issued by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani on Friday, Tariq’s protective bail has been approved for five days, following which he will have to approach the trial court.

Tariq and his siblings are also accused of illegally occupying land in Lahore’s upscale Johar Town.

Mansha Bomb was arrested on October 15 after he appeared before the Supreme Court, demanding to meet the chief justice Mian Saqib Nisar.

Last month, the Chief Justice of Pakistan had ordered the immediate arrest of Mansha Bomb, however, the authorities had failed to fulfil the court orders.

At least 70 cases are registered against the alleged land grabber, according to the Punjab police which had earlier ‘failed’ to arrest Mansha Bomb.

On the other hand, Mansha claims that he has not grabbed land illegally, adding that he possesses documentary evidence substantiating that the land belongs to his father.

Bomb claims that the cases were lodged against him by former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif after his son contested the election on a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ticket.
