Earthquake strikes parts of country on Eid day

ISLAMABAD – A 5.5 magnitude earthquake hit different cities of country on Monday morning, the day which is being observed as Eid ul Fitr.

The tremors of quake was felt in Peshawar, Swat, Nowshehra, Abbottabad, Islamabad and other parts of the country.

According to experts, the intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 5.5 magnitude on the Richter scale, and the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindukush mountains of Afghanistan.

No casualty and damage have been reported so far.
