Man sells off teenage daughter due to poverty in Mianwali

MIANWALI - A poor man sold his teenage daughter to an elderly man for Rs600,000 in an area of Mianwali.

The deal took place in Rustamwala within the limits of Moch police stations where a father identified as Naib Rasool sold his 14-year-old daughter, Faryard Bibi, to a 65-year-old man.

The buyer, who has been identified as Fateh Shair son of Shair Khan, is a resident of Noorpur Thal, a city of Khushab district.

DPO Mianwali Sadiq Ali Dogar after receiving the information ordered the officials of Moch and Pai Khel police stations to take action and arrest the accused.

A police party conducted a raid and arrested the father of the daughter and other persons, besides recovering the victim. A case has been registered against the accused.
