No irregularity found in NA-122

LAHORE – Dr Ali Ayaz Sadiq, who represented Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq during the secrutiny process, said on Saturday that no irregularity was found during the inspection of 284 polling stations record of NA-122. Talking to the media, after the completion of inspection record of NA-122, he said Sardar Ayaz Sadiq’s votes had increased by 135 and now leads with 9,007 votes against PTI chairman Imran Khan.
Dr Ali said all rigging allegations levelled by Imran Khan were proved baseless and now he should accept his defeat.To a question regarding missing signatures on some counterfoils, Col (Retd) Muhammad Mubashir said that all such votes were valid as they had thumb impressions as well as ID card numbers of voters. The local commission comprising retired sessions judge Ghulam Hussain Awan had completed the inspectionof NA-122 record on Saturday and the report would be submitted to the election tribunal in the next week. The election tribunal comrising Kazim Ali Malik had ordered inspection of NA-122 record on an application of PTI chief Imran Khan who had challenged the election of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq from the constituency.
