ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistani nation is observing Kashmir Solidarity Day reaffirm their support for Kashmiris’ just struggle against unlawful Indian occupation of the state since October 27, 1947.
The day is also observed with the objective of seeking a peaceful solution to the Kashmir problem, besides delivering a pragmatic message to the international community. The hallmark of the day was human chain of Pakistanis and Kashmiris to reiterate complete solidarity by forming human chains on all six bridges at the entering points of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
For expression of solidarity with the Kashmiri people thorough mass rallies, symposiums, walks-for-peace, conventions, meetings and speech declamations are also being organized.
A one-minute silence was also observed at 10.00 hours on day to honour Kashmiri shuhada.
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and the upper house of the AJK Parliament, the AJK Council, held a joint session at Muzaffarabad to pay tribute to the people of occupied Jammu & Kashmir for their continuous struggle to achieve their right of self-determination.
