QUETTA (Web Desk) – A resident of Quetta and father of 35 children is now searching for a fourth wife as he romps towards his goal of 100 children.
Sardar Jan Mohammad Khilji, 46, says he believes it is his religious duty to have as many children as possible.
Interestingly, his three wives seem to support his stance and co-exist in harmony with each other.
Jan, who claims he is a qualified medical technician, runs a medical center where he treats people for minor ailments such as headaches, adding that he is “serving humanity” and charges just 250 rupees ($2.30) per patient while providing his services to the poor for free.
He insists he has never faced any financial problems owing to his family.
Jan’s eldest child is 15, his youngest is just a few weeks old.
He claims that he rarely mixes up his children’s names.
Earlier, Rafia Zakaria, a women’s rights activist apparently, had criticized Jan Mohammad, adding that having multiple wives increases “depression and despair” among women.
