LAHORE – PTI Chairman Imran Khan said on Saturday he was ready to “forgive everyone” including those who plotted his assassination for the sake of the country as he kicked off party’s election campaign ahead of elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing the party supporters through video link, the former prime minister said he was ready to hold talk with everyone and compromise because worsening political and economic situation of the country. He called for unity to confront the challenges, adding that Pakistan this time needs unity.
Imran said all institutions, including the judiciary, should come together and agree for reforms for the betterment of the country.
He believed no government could think tacking the issues being faced by the country, adding the nation will have to stand together and so the institutions.
However, at the same time, the PTI chief said that he would not engage in talks to or compromise with those involved in looting country’s wealth.
Talking about the PTI’s election campaign, Imran said he would hold his first rally next Saturday. He urged the PTI workers in Punjab and KP to start preparations for elections.
