#fixIt: Activists force traffic police to open road, closed for VIP movement
KARACHI- Activists from Pakistan’s viral civic campaign 'Fix it' on Friday forced traffic police to open Tariq Road in Karachi for the public, giving a strong message that VIP culture was no longer acceptable. The road was blocked for general public due to VIP movement.

One of the activists who goes by the name Sadaqat, took the initiative when he saw fellow citizens stranded on the road due to the blockade. The whole episode was broadcasted live on the campaign's founder Alamgir Khan's Facebook page.

In the video, Sadaqat can be seen bashing traffic police for blocking the road for VIP movements. The activist single handily made traffic cops present at the scene open the road thus making it possible for the stranded citizen to move.

Sadaqat also shared a message for his country fellows in the video saying, "if one volunteer can make them open the roads, just think what hundred of us can do?"

The campaign was started in 2016 by Alamgir Khan a social worker and activist, started his Fix It campaign with just a few cans of spray paint. He caught the attention of media by drawing a portrait of former Chief Minister Sindh, Qaim Ali Shah, alongside the missing manholes and uploaded the images to social media.

What started with Alamgir Khan, has now become a sprawling organization of volunteers and social workers. this recent episode has won the hearts once again.
