Multiple international stars roped in for PSL final in Pakistan : Sethi

LAHORE (Web Desk) –  Chairman Executive Committee Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi claimed on Tuesday that several international cricketers were ready to play PSL final in Pakistan.

Talking to newsmen, the official told that PCB was striving hard to bring international cricket home and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif had given green signal for the PSL final in Lahore.

“It is clearly mentioned in the forms handed over to the foreign players (aspiring to play PSL) that you have to play the final match in Lahore, in case your team reaches final and several foreign players have so far signed them. Insha Allah, this is going to happen. We are striving hard to hold the final in Lahore,” he said.

He went on to admit that Pakistan cricket had not produced a bigger star in the modern times than Shahid Khan Afridi.

“We will do whatever possible for the star cricketer’s respectable retirement,” he said.

Najam Sethi hinted at something fantastic for the respectable retirement of Shahid Afridi although he did not disclose the complete details regarding that.

The second edition of the Pakistan Super League T20 is scheduled to begin in Feb 2017 in UAE. PCB is trying hard to manage the PSL final in Lahore for Pakistani audience to catch a glimpse of the biggest league tournament.
