Pakistan has taken another step in advancing indigenous unmanned strike arsenal with the unveiling of D-248 and S-369 loitering munitions. Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) unveiled the new drones at the 2026 Indus RAS Expo, the country’s largest and longest-range systems in their class.
These drones are said to be most advanced and longest-range loitering munitions to date, introducing D-248 and S-369 during the 2026 Indus Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Expo, taking unmanned strike capabilities, with both systems designed for long-endurance, precision missions over extended distances.
Leading new lineup is D-248, which HIT says is capable of engaging targets at ranges between 2,200 and 3,000 kilometers. The munition features a tailless delta-wing configuration, a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 240 kilograms, and can carry a 30–50 kilogram payload. It has a 3.3-meter wingspan, a maximum speed of 225 km/h, and cruises at around 185 km/h. According to the manufacturer, the platform can remain airborne for 12 to 14 hours while operating at altitudes of up to 4,500 meters, enabling deep-strike missions with extended loiter time.
Joining it is the S-369, another long-range loitering munition designed with an arrow-delta wing layout. HIT states that the system offers an operational range of 1,500 to 2,000 kilometers. It has an MTOW of 215–225 kilograms, carries a 30–50 kilogram payload, and features a 4-meter wingspan. The S-369 reaches a top speed of 220 km/h and cruises between 160 and 180 km/h, while also operating at altitudes of up to 4,500 meters.
With unveiling of the D-248 and S-369, Pakistan has showcased its largest and longest-range loitering munitions developed so far, underscoring the country’s continued investment in indigenous autonomous strike systems and long-range unmanned warfare technologies.

Pakistan’s longest-range operational ballistic missile remains the Shaheen-III, a two-stage, solid-fueled medium-range ballistic missile with a publicly reported range of 2,750 kilometers. It is designed to carry a payload of approximately 1,000–1,200 kilograms and serves as a cornerstone of the country’s strategic deterrence.
