LAHORE – A case of sedition and terrorism has been registered in Lahore against Imran Khan, along with PTI leaders and workers.

At Islampura police station, a case was registered against the PTI chairman, leaders, and 200 workers under serious charges of sedition, terrorism, and attempted murder against the state.

The case names Hammad Azhar, Salman Akram Raja, Ghulam Mohiuddin, MPA Shahbaz, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, Sheikh Imtiaz, Ali Imtiaz, Shabbir Gujar, and other leaders.

According to the FIR, the PTI chairman is provided with special facilities in jail, and he incited these leaders to violence against the state from within the jail.

The leaders raised anti-state slogans with the workers and caused vandalism. Workers injured constable Bilal, and the police arrested 16 rioters at the scene, with further legal action ongoing against them.

Additionally, cases have been filed against PTI workers for protesting in violation of Section 144 in the city.

Cases were also filed against PTI workers at Millat Park and Hanjarwal police stations.

At Hanjarwal, an FIR was registered on behalf of ASI Aqeel against 20 workers. The Hanjarwal police had arrested the workers for coming out to protest the previous day.

In Millat Park police station, a case was registered on behalf of Sub-Inspector Hafiz Imran against 10 workers for violating Section 144.

Meanwhile, Taxila police have also registered a case of terrorism and other severe charges against 300 people, including the PTI founder.

The case names other leaders such as Raja Basharat, Taimoor Masood, Ajmal Sabir Raja, Ziyad Khaliq Kayani, Shehryar Riaz, Raja Rashid Hafeez, Ijaz Khan Jazi, Nasir Mahfouz, Advocate Aqeel, Chaudhry Amir Afzal, Raja Shahbaz, and Usman Tiger. Taxila police have also arrested 105 protesters.

It is noteworthy that due to the PTI protest in Lahore yesterday, Minar-e-Pakistan and the surrounding routes were completely blocked by placing containers.
