Pakistan attaches importance to ties with Saudi Arabia: Khattak

ISLAMABAD – Defense Minister Pervez Khattak says Pakistan attaches great importance to its special relations with Saudi Arabia and desires to further expand cooperation in all fields. He was talking to Saudi ambassador Nawaf Al Malki who called on him on Thursday.

The Saudi Ambassador reaffirmed continued support of his government to Pakistan.

The minister also extended his good wishes for the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques HRH King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz.

Later, the Saudi Ambassador called on Secretary Defence Retired Lt. Gen Ikram-ul-Haq and discussed with him matters related to mutual interest

During the interaction, issues relating to existing bilateral defence relations and areas of future cooperation were deliberated upon. Both sides expressed satisfaction over the present status of mutual defence collaboration and agreed to work together towards its enhancement.

The secretary defence apprised the ambassador about the efforts of Pakistani armed forces in countering the menace of terrorism and ongoing operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
