LAHORE – In a tragic turn of events, four people were killed while another six faced injuries in separate rain-related incidents across the Punjab on Tuesday night.
As the gusty winds resulted in pleasant weather throughout in the provincial capital, it also added to the woes of the residents as they faced frequent power cuts.
Moreover, one person lost his life as the roof of his home caved in along with other six who were left injured in the same catastrophe. The injured were rushed to the hospital.
Separately, another roof collapsed in Pir Mahal area near Kamalia Sugar Mill, claiming the lives of three people. Another roof of a warehouse caved in in the Maragzar area of Lahore. However, the casualties are not confirmed.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain/dust-thunderstorm associated with gusty winds will continue at scattered areas in KP (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore and Faisalabad till Friday with breaks.
