KARACHI – Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf finally capitulated to renowned televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain, awarding him party ticket for NA-245 Karachi.
The media personality announced the party decision on Twitter with a humorous poetic verse.

Earlier, the Bol TV anchor and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) member, who joined PTI a few months ago, expressed reservations against PTI’s Karachi division for not giving him party ticket to contest election from his hometown, Karachi.
Aamir Liaquat took to Twitter and alleged that PTI Karachi division president Firdous Shamim Naqvi had denied to give him the ticket for the upcoming elections.
“Firdous Shamim Naqvi said belligerent things to me which I am unable to write here keeping in view the respect of PTI chief Imran Khan,” he added.

The disgruntled leader said he considered PTI his home and will take a decision about his political future after some days.

However, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan then intervened to pacify the estranged leader and scholar after the later warned to take the extreme step on party ticket spat.
A former MNA and state minister, Liaquat had left the Muttahida Qaumi Movement in 2016 and defected to PTI, saying ‘it was his last destination’.
