Singer Sanam Marvi opens up about her fourth marriage and personal struggles

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani Sufi singer Sanam Marvi has opened up about her fourth marriage, shedding light on her personal journey through series of marital challenges.

Kardo Karam singer was first married to Atif Ahmed at the age of 18. Tragically, Sanam’s first husband was murdered in Karachi in 2009 while she was expecting her first child. After her husband’s death, she tied knot with Hamid Khan. Together, they had three sons, but their relationship ended due to domestic issues.

She then married Habib Qureshi but parted ways. She kept her third marriage a personal choice and decided to keep details under wraps. In her recent TV show appearance, the singer revealed her fourth marriage, discussing the impact of her past divorces and her marital life.

Marvi also revealed that after her second divorce, she lost custody of her children, who now live with their father in Lahore.

She described her second husband as her maternal uncle’s son, who had moved to Lahore from a village. She cited issues with her husband’s previous relationships and abuse as reasons for their separation. The singer also spoke about the prolonged legal battle over her children’s custody, which she eventually withdrew from to spare her children further distress, resulting in her losing custody.

She mentioend that her suffering comes to an end, and revealed that her family arranged her marriage to Khubeib, and it brought peace to her life. Marvi has not revealed details about her fourth husband but praised him as an exceptionally good person, saying her fourth marriage restored her faith in loyalty.
