India feels the heat after Kashmir move, urges Pakistan to reconsider decisions
NEW DELHI - Days after repealing the special status of Kashmir, India hoped Pakistan would reconsider its steps taken in context of ties with New Delhi.
Speaking during a weekly media briefing on Friday, Indian Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said action taken by Pakistan is unilateral and without consultation of New Delhi.
"Whether it is Samjhauta Express, trade relationship has been done without consulting us. We have urged them to reconsider these decisions,” Kumar said.
The response came after Pakistan confirmed on Friday that it was suspending the last train service for India after suspending Samjhauta Express a day earlier.

The developments are taking place amid rising tension between the nuclear-armed neighbours after New Delhi revoked the special status of Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK), repealing article 370 and 35A of the constitution.
The Indian official said If Pakistan decides to internationalise the matter, then we will have to take countermeasures.
Kumar also played down the communication blackout in the restive valley and said the precautionary measures were taken to prevent disruption of law and order in the valley.
A security lockdown prevails in IoK although residents were allowed to attend Friday prayers in some local mosques.
A day earlier, the UN chief had stated that the position of international body on the valley was governed by Security Council resolutions, warning against altering the status of the valley.
