NA-122 by-poll: PTI, PML-N to take out rallies in final hours of electioneering

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) are all set to show political muscles in the last hours of election campaign in NA-122 by-poll, that is scheduled on October 11.

PTI chief Imran Khan will address will final rally for his party’s candidate Abdul Aleem Khan while the central leadership of PM-N will also be present in election rally of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

PTI’s Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who remain absent in Lahore during the whole electionnering, is also expected to address the final rally on Friday night.

Meanwhile Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have decided not to attend the final rally for NA-122 by-poll.

After the wrapping up of the public electioneering as mandated by the law, anybody holding even a corner meeting or staging a demonstration or taking out a procession will be liable to be punished.

However, there will be no embargo on the door-to-door canvassing by the candidates or their activists.
