NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Shashank Manohar has offered Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to play bilateral in northern India instead of United Arab Emirates (UAE) as earlier agreed in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between two boards.
According to Indian media, Manohar said that BCCI and PCB had agreed to play two Test matches and an ODI series in December this year but it does not appear to turning into reality, hence we can explore for other options such as playing the series in northern India.
He went on to say that his Pakistani counterpart Sheharyar Khan was also interested in this proposal however other top officials of PCB have prevented him from giving a nod. Pakistani side thinks India is not serious at this option, he said.
BCCI chief further said that Pakistan and India can look for a better chance of cricket series next year however any such offer from Indian side is conditional to government’s approval.
Meanwhile PCB Chairman Sheharyar has dismissed the reports saying that BCCi has not made such an offer and that Indian broad yet remains to answer his letter about December series.
