KARACHI – The funeral prayer of deceased pop icon-turned-religious scholar Junaid Jamshed is likely to be offered in Karachi on Wednesday.
According to Junaid Jamshed’s brother, Humayun Jamshed, the funeral prayers will be offered at National Stadium, Karachi, on Wednesday.
Humayun had visited the stadium earlier in order to discuss arrangements with the stadium authorities.
Junaid Jamshed’s grave has been prepared at Jamia Darul-Uloom, Korangi, Karachi.
Junaid Jamshed was among 48 people who died on Wednesday following the deadly crash of PK-661 bound for Islamabad from Chitral.
Investigators found computerised national identity cards (CNICs) of Junaid Jamshed and his wife Nayha Junaid on Sunday, and it is expected that Junaid’s body would be handed over to his family on Tuesday.
