Over 1800 illegally recruited cops dismissed in Sindh

KARACHI (Web Desk) – Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Allah Dino Khawaja dismissed over 1,800 illegally appointed cops on Thursday.

According to details, IG Sindh told the home department’s standing committee, headed by Syed Owais Qadir Shah that the dismissed cops were appointed in the Sindh Reserve Police.

1,100 policemen were given the job in 2012, while 860 were inducted in 2014.

“During our investigation, we learned that 80% of the cops belonged to one district while 400 had identical height and chest measurements,” he said.

“Some senior police officials, after receiving substantial amounts of money, issued illegal appointment orders to hundreds of cops upon the completion of their training. Unfortunately, these cops have now been stopped from performing their duties,” said Syed Owais Qadir Shah, chairperson of the meeting.
