British singer Tanya Wells is known for covering Pakistani spiritual songs so beautifully that the soul of the tune remains forever in your hearts. From Mehdi Hassan to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, she has paid tribute to the classics with aesthetics of true art.
Recently, Tanya was seen in Dubai singing to the tune of the classic ‘Char Chiragh Tere’, a spiritual Sufi song sung in honour of saint Shahbaz Qalandar of Sehwan Sharif. The song has been sung by many popular artists in the past including Noor Jehan, Runa Laila, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Abida Parveen, the Sabri Brothers, Reshma, Komal Rizvi, and Junoon.
