LAHORE – A thick, dangerous blanket of fog brought traffic to standstill across major motorways and highways in Punjab. Authorities report zero visibility in some areas, making travel life-threatening.
M-2 motorway from Lahore to Kot Momin, M-3 from Faisalabad to Darkhana, and M-11 from Lahore to Sambrial have all been completely closed. Even the Lahore Eastern Bypass is off-limits due to dangerous conditions.

The motorway police have warned citizens to avoid all unnecessary travel. “These closures are for the safety of the public,” said a spokesperson. Severe fog has also enveloped the national highways near Lahore, Manga Mandi, and Okara, further disrupting traffic.
Travelers are urged to stay indoors and exercise extreme caution as travel in fog-shrouded roads could prove fatal.
