KARACHI – Solar system rates in Pakistan saw big drop, as the recent plunge is driven by lowering panel prices globally, falling interest rates and close competition among giants seeking chunk of the renewables market in country of 242 million.
In September 2024, solar panel prices moved down from on all units, ranging from starter 3KW to 15KW, with price moving down by up to Rs3Lac. As of now, a 5-kilowatt solar system priced at Rs650,000, while 7-kilowatt system costs Rs725,000.
If you go for commercial setups, price of 10-KW setup stands around Rs950,000, while a 12-KW system price hoveres around Rs1.1 million, and for 15-KW system, it will cost you around Rs12lac.
