Terrorists hideout destroyed, huge cache of weapons recovered from FATA: ISPR

RAWALPINDI – A Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants hideout was destroyed and a huge cache of weapons was recovered during an intelligence-based operation by security forces in Fata, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.

“A huge cache of arms and ammunition including rockets prepared IEDs, explosive, grenades, mortar bombs, different types of weapons and communication equipment from Parachinar, Kurram Agency recovered by Pakistan Army,” the ISPR statement said.

A TTP hideout established in underground tunnels in Kalaya, Aurakzai Agency was also decimated during a raid. The ISPR said raids were launched as part of the ongoing country-wide military offensive Radd-ul-Fasaad, the Army’s media wing said.

The military launched Radd-ul-Fasaad, the new countrywide anti-terrorist offensive, after a series of deadly bombings across Pakistan that killed over 100 people in February 2017.
