ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has given a special title of ‘Global Influential Figure’ of 2018 to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The title was bestowed in a ceremony held in Islamabad on Tuesday by Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC).
Imam of Masjid Al-Haram, Imam-e-Kaba Sheikh Abdul-Elah Al-Juhani also attended the ceremony.
President Dr Arif Alvi awarded the certificate to Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki.
The PUC, in a statement, said that the Saudi crown prince has been honoured for his efforts in supporting Islam and taking care of the Two Holy Mosques.
Moreover, Mohammad Bin Salman voiced for key humanitarian issues, including Palestine, Yemen, Syria and the protection of Muslim minorities, the PUC said on the occasion.
The PUC statement further read that Mohammed bin Salman has been recognised for his support to Pakistan and his efforts in bringing peace with India.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Pakistan on two-day visit in February. The visit was termed successful as the Saudi crown prince signed agreements of heavy investments in Pakistan. Not only that, he also showed many goodwill gestures towards Pakistan as well. He was given royal protocol during his visit.
