Stray kite string kills three-year-old girl in Lahore

LAHORE: A three-year-old girl was killed by stray kite string near Chowk Yateem Khana on Saturday.

The girl, Mah-e-Rukh, was sitting at the front of a motorbike drove by her father Waseem Abbas, when the string got entangled around her neck and sliced through her blood vessels.

The motorcycle also went out of the control, sending Wasim, his wife and two children falling on the road on Multan Road.

The onlookers came to help the injured family and shifted them to the Samanabad Hospital. This was the second time in a week that the illegal, sharp kite string caused a death.

DSP Samanabad allowed the little girl’s dead body to be given to her family for burial. While the Millat Park police station registered the case against unidentified persons.
