ISLAMABAD – UK’s Home Secretary Sajid Javid called on Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday to discussed issues of mutual interest.
Foreign Minister Qureshi emphasized on the need to transform the historic ties between Pakistan and United Kingdom into a strategic partnership.

The two also exchanged views on regional security, counter-terrorism, return of Pakistani assets and money laundering.
Sajid Javid expressed the desire of the British government to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Minister of State for Interior Shahryar Afridi was also present on this occasion.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi visited Kabul where he met Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
In his first meeting with Ghani as a foreign minister, Shah Mehmood discussed crucial bilateral issues related to security and other frontiers. The two dignitaries also discussed as to how the diplomatic ties between the two countries could be strengthened
