ISLAMABAD – The National Assembly of Pakistan adopted a resolution on Wednesday, rejecting Indian allegations against the country in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack.
The lower chamber of the parliament strongly rejected baseless Indian allegations which falsely linked the attack with Pakistan ‘without investigation and any shred of evidence.’
The National Assembly recalled statements by heads of all political parties and Prime Minister Imran Khan offering Pakistan’s assistance in investigations of the attack that led to the killing of over 40 Indian soldiers, and to take action on ‘actionable intelligence or evidence.’
The resolution condemned Indian reaction instead of introspection on its repressive policies against the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir denying their right to self-determination.

‘India has again sought to shift the blame to Pakistan through baseless polemic and provocative rhetoric,’ it read.
The resolution strongly denounced the continuing attacks on Kashmiris in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and targeting of Kashmiri students in India after the Pulwama attack.
It stressed that New Delhi’s smear campaign should not “delude or obscure the real issues of human rights nightmare and humanitarian emergency prevalent in IoK due to the Indian atrocities.”
The lawmakers emphasised that no one should underestimate Pakistan’s resolve to defend itself against “any act of aggression.”
An explosives-packed van rammed into a convoy in Pulwama area os IoK on February 14th, worsening the ties between New Delhi and Pakistan.
New Delhi pinned blame on Islamabad for the Pulwama attack though Pakistan’s leadership strongly refutes the allegations which are unfounded and are not rooted in reality.
The attack is the worst in decades of insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir, India’s only Muslim majority state. Analysts claim that the attack might have been a false flag owing to the upcoming elections in India as anti-Pakistan sentiments are whipped up to garner support.

Pakistan condemned the attack with Prime Minister Imran Khan offering that the country would help track the culprits if New Delhi provides any substantial evidence in this regard.
“India has always accused Pakistan without any proof,” said Imran, adding that “If India has actionable evidence, they should share them with us and we will take action.”
