Indian boys burn puppies alive, record it for the internet

HYDERABAD – An Indian group of boys burnt three puppies alive on July 16 in the Vazir graveyard near Elk Minar mosque in Hyderabad’s Musheerabad area and posted a video of the horrific act on Facebook on Wednesday.

The incident came to light on Wednesday when the video was put up on Facebook and went viral on social media within hours.

The Musheerabad police registered a case against the boys on the complaint of an animal rights group.

In the three-minute video, five boys were seen throwing the puppies into a fire made out of burning wood and garbage. When the puppies started screaming and tried to come out, the boys were seen driving them backwards into the fire using sticks. They waited till the puppies had been burnt completely.

The case is under investigation and the police are trying to identify the persons involved.

“We have not arrested anybody so far. We are still trying to identify the persons in the video. Prima facie, they all appear to be minors. The case is under investigation,” Musheerabad sub-inspector B Ravi Kumar Reddy told Hindustan Times.

Sources have, however, stated the police has nabbed five suspects and detained for questioning.
