NEW DELHI: An Indian fan of Pakistan’s former T20 captain and world famed all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi was arrested for wearing Pakistan team jersey during a cricket match in the Indian state of Assam.
AnRipon Chowdhury, 20, was taken into custody by local police after youth wing of ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) filed a complained against him.
The police are said to have arrested the fan and lodged a case under section 120(B), 294 of the Indian Penal code.

On January 27, 2016, a Pakistani fan of Indian batsman Virat Kohli had been arrested for hoisting an Indian flag on his rooftop in Okara, a district city of Punjab province.
Umer Daraz was later released on bail.
