RAWALPINDI – Indian army Sunday resorted to unprovoked cease fire violation using rockets and mortars in Battal, Satwal, Khanjar, Nikyal and Jandrot Sectors along the Line of Control targeting civilian population and Army posts, according to Inter Services Public Relations.
Pakistan Army troops effectively responded to Indian firing and targeted those posts which initiated fire. Post heavily damaged causing casualties, the military’s media wing said in a statement.
During exchange of fire, Havaldar Manzoor Abbasi embraced martyrdom while four citizens including two young girls and a woman got injured.

Earlier this week, India’s border forces shot a mentally-challenged Pakistani citizen, Allah Rakha, when he mistakenly crossed the Line of Control through the Charwah sector.
The 60-year-old was laid to rest in his native town after the BSF handed over the body to Punjab Rangers during a meeting along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
