Pakistani-US businessmen call on PM Imran Khan in Washington

WASHINGTON – A delegation of Pakistani businessmen called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at Embassy of Pakistan during his first visit to the United States on Sunday.

They included Zia Chishti, CEO of Afiniti; Mr. Mohammed Khaishgi, Founding Partner of The Resource Group; and Mr. Hasnain Aslam, Chief Investment Officer at The Resource Group.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Adviser to PM on Commerce Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood, Adviser to PM on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, SAPM on Overseas Pakistanis and HRD Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari were present during the meeting.

The investors expressed their desire to further enhance their investment in the IT and Technology sector of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Nasir Javed, Ashraf Kazi and Shaukat Dhanani also called on PM Imran Khan at the Pakistan House, where they briefed the Pakistani premier about their interest for investment in the fields of Academia, Manufacturing and Steel Industry.

They appreciated Khan’s vision of socio-economic development of Pakistan.

PM Imran highlighted the policy framework and conducive environment for promotion of foreign investment, efforts being undertaken for improving Ease of Doing Business, promotion of industrial sector and socio-economic development of the country.
